Daikin Announces Aggressive Plan Designed to Slash Emissions of Greenhouse Gases

Daikin aims to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions in 2020 to one-quarter of its 2005 emissions. The manufacturer plans to introduce a full product line of lower-GWP refrigerant air conditioners and heat pumps, after working with the EPA and other stakeholders to permit these refrigerants in both building codes and the Clean Air SNAP program. More>

Santa Fe College Pilots Daikin University Training Program

Daikin has named Gainesville, Florida’s Santa Fe College as the first post-secondary institution to pilot the complete Daikin University training program. Daikin donated equipment to the college’s Heating, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration and Ventilation (HARV) Program, where students can complete a degree in just two years with intensive hands-on training. Daikin is pleased to introduce the new 8-Zone Multi-Split system (RMXS48LVJU) targeting light commercial and whole-house residential markets. The 4 ton system is an energy-efficient (up to 18.8 SEER, and 11.3 HSPF) high-capacity heat pump system with the ability to connect to an expanded line of indoor units, including the new 2’ x 2’ ceiling cassette units (9-18 MBH), the extended range of slim duct units (9-24 MBH), and wall mounted units (7-24 MBH). Daikin Introduces New 2’ X 2’ Ceiling Cassette Indoor Units for
Multi-Split Systems
